Chesca Online Catalogue
Who are they
Leading UK fashion brand with over 70 locations world-wide.
What they wanted
Easy-to-use site to appeal to target audience. The focus of the site was not only creating a site that was visually appealing to show off the clothes, but to ensure the products could be added and changed with ease. They also wanted the site to retain a minimal style for customers with slower connections and to ensure support of older browsers.
How we did it
The main aim of the clients was a redesign of their previous design, utilising customer feedback and advances in JavaScript to create a simple-but-effective site that draw as much attention as possible to key product lines. We keep the front page regularly updated to keep clients informed of any new products added, ensuring that any product available can be found and bought within a few clicks.
Development tools
PHP with our own YARR Framework, MooTools JavaScript Framework
Ulysses Sailing
Who there are
The clients are an information service for the Greek islands with strong links to the yachting industry.
What they wanted
A geo-social networking application that incorporated the company's vast propriety knowledge of the Greek islands, with a route planning facility for yachts sailing around the Med.
How we did it
We have been developing our backend to power large-scale social networking apps (an engine we call "Browz") and this was our first commercial application. Browz combined many of the elements that we enjoyed in social networking websites which we coupled with a map interface to create an expansive user experience.
Development tools
Ruby on Rails (including our custom extensions Lumberjack and Authlogically), Google Maps API, Prototype JavaScript Framework (including our "Slideglide" image gallery viewer)
AIntranet
What is it?
AIntranet is an internal project that we created to manage our internal messaging and files. It has since expanded to include:
- A fully-fledged CRM system for keeping track of mail order clients, allowing for communication between customers without resorting to emails
- A product database, where users can upload files and keep track of notes used during product development.
- A stock and sales management system - this has been customised developed to keep track of retail inventories spread in locations across the country with an easy to use interface and fully customisable reports (fully compatible with Atlas invoicing tools used by John Lewis and House of Fraser)
- Public pages allow user of the intranet to share pertinent information with customers in a secure manner
- Wiki-like pages, organised in a project-focused tree-view, that fits somewhere between a company wide "Windows Explorer/File Manager" and a document editing suite to put that information into context, secured by group-policy style permissions.
- Task manager and calendar
- Demo's available on request - use the above "contact us" form to get in touch.
